What players say
Reviewers agree this is the best-playing standard Pure Aero yet, and the biggest gain is feel: the frame swings noticeably faster through the air and impact is softer and more connected than the 2023 model, which many testers disliked. Spin is still the headline, with testers describing easy racquet-head speed, heavy shape, and slice and kick serves with extra bite. The main gripes are that it can launch long when you flatten out, volleying is only average, and a few flat hitters found the old version more powerful.
Best for
- Aggressive baseliners who hit with topspin
- Players who found older Aeros harsh
- 4.0 to 5.0 club players
- Spin servers
Pros
- Swings faster through the air than the 2023 Aero, so racquet-head speed comes easily
- Huge, easy spin access on groundstrokes and serves
- Much softer and more connected feel than previous Aero generations
- Forgiving sweet spot; the easiest frame to use in the 2026 Aero line
- Slice and kick serves get noticeably more movement
- Stable enough at net despite the light, fast swing
Cons
- Can get launchy; you need spin to keep depth under control
- Volleys and touch are the weakest part of its game for some reviewers
- Flat hitters may find the 2023 version more powerful and more instantly responsive
- Stock RPM Blast setup underwhelmed at least one reviewer; needs tension tinkering
- Stock grip shape runs slightly large for some players

The first thing I noticed when I started swinging was how fast it felt, even faster than the previous generation.

This is a very powerful racket. So much so that sometimes it would get a bit launchy on me.

It's much softer, much more connected. You feel like you're in contact with the ball for longer and therefore it's a nicer playing experience.

There's a bubble-wrap type of feel where you can feel the frame compress a little bit but with stages of resistance.
— Dan Hellier, Tennis Gear Guide, Web
A small minority of long-term Aero users find the 2026 more muted than the 2023.
— Eilathen, Talk Tennis forum, Forums
The new ones have more feel and are more maneuverable. It is definitely not just a new paintjob!
