What players say
Independent editorial and video coverage of the Axis line focuses almost entirely on the heavier Axis 98 and Axis 100, so there is little third-party review data on the lighter 9.9oz Axis Team specifically. The evidence that does exist is a large set of verified buyer reviews on Diadem's own site, which are consistently positive about spin, feel, control, and arm comfort.
Best for
- Players wanting easy spin without arm strain
- Juniors and lighter-framed players
- Players moving from a heavier control frame like a Wilson Blade
- Servers looking for extra spin
Pros
- Buyers repeatedly single out spin generation as a standout trait
- Described as comfortable and easy on the arm
- Reviewers report good control and feel for a spin-oriented, lighter frame
- Praised specifically for serving performance
- One long-time 5.0 player switching from a Wilson Blade said he was hitting well within an hour of trying it
Cons
- Almost no independent editorial or YouTube reviews test the Team version by itself; most third-party analysis covers the heavier Axis 98/100 instead, so views on its playing character are thin outside of buyer testimonials
- About 13% of buyer ratings on Diadem's own site were 4-star or lower, but none of the available text explained what fell short

There's a 98, a 100, and a Team (which is a lite 100).
