What players say
Reviewers agree the SX 300 Tour 2025 is a lively, easy-power frame that generates heavy spin with little effort, helped by the widened Spin Boost XT grommets and a stiffer, more stable hoop. The tradeoff most testers flag is precision: the ball leaves the stringbed fast, making touch shots, drop volleys, and flat/flighty shots harder to control than on more control-oriented 98s.
Best for
- Aggressive baseliners who want easy pace and spin
- Players moving up from tweener or spin-focused frames
- Whippy, fast-swinging technique
- Attacking players who also volley
Pros
- Easy, lively power on groundstrokes and serves
- Excellent, low-effort spin access from the open pattern and updated grommets
- Improved stability and solid feel at contact from the widened 3/9 o'clock geometry
- Vibroshield dampening reduces harsh vibration versus earlier SX models
- Capable at net with good touch on shaped volleys despite the power
Cons
- Ball leaves the string bed quickly, hurting control and shot-shaping on flatter balls
- Feels stiffer than some testers prefer, which some found less comfortable
- Less precise on drop shots and delicate touch shots ("no laser pointer")
- Some testers found it less powerful than the previous 2022 SX 300 Tour

For a 98-square-inch head size, this racquet really maxes out the power and spin.

The stiffness of this racquet is a bit higher than I prefer.
— Michelle, Tennis Warehouse playtest team, Web
The ball was in and out of the stringbed quite fast, [making shot selection difficult].

A little flighty on flat shots.
