What players say
Testers and buyers generally see this as a real step up from the prior Speed MP, with Head's new Hy-Bor layup giving it a more connected, stable feel and a solid reputation at net and on one-handed backhands. The main knock is the roughly 329-330 swingweight, which some players find sluggish for quick exchanges and serve variety, and a few buyers reported strung specs that didn't match the demo they tried.
Best for
- Baseline players who value stability and depth
- One-handed backhand players
- Intermediate to advanced players with full swings
- Players upgrading from older Speed MPs wanting more plow-through
Pros
- Connected, stable feel from the Hy-Bor layup, not muted
- Easy topspin and depth from the baseline
- Strong net/volley performance with good touch
- Comfortable, arm-friendly flex for most testers
Cons
- High swingweight (~329-330) feels sluggish or clubby for some, especially on serves and quick reflex volleys
- Serve pace and spin variety underwhelmed a few testers relative to the swingweight
- Can feel launchy under pressure, demanding precise timing
- A couple of buyers reported strung units playing noticeably different from demo frames

My newly purchased MP feels nothing like the demo...unplayable.
