What players say
Playtesters describe the Ki Q+5 Pro (310) as an unusually comfortable, easy-swinging player's frame that still generates real spin and pop, thanks to ProKennex's kinetic weight system. The main knock is stability on off-center shots and volleys, plus testers wanting a bit more free power on serve.
Best for
- Aggressive baseliners with flatter swings
- Players with arm sensitivity seeking a stiff-feeling but dampened frame
- Serve-and-volley or all-court players
Pros
- Comfortable, dampened feel from the kinetic system praised by multiple testers
- Easy to swing and maneuver despite advanced-player specs
- Generates good spin and pop on groundstrokes
- Solid, connected feel for touch shots and net play
Cons
- Torsional instability reported on off-center and volley shots
- Testers wanted more free power on serve
- High swingweight (330+) can feel less suited to whippier, topspin-heavy strokes
- Kinetic weight system produces an unfamiliar sound/feel that takes adjustment

Great spin and pop. Very easy to use and swing. The Kinetic technology is nice in absorbing shock.

Torsional instability on off-center shots (more than usual). It can take a while to get used to the unique ProKennex feel.

Maneuverable, extremely easy to swing and use all around the court, with access to power, spin, angles and racquet head speed.

It doesn't dampen vibration in a way that leaves you disconnected from the string bed.
