What players say

Mixed 9 sources

Reviewers agree on what this frame does: enormous easy power, a very high launch angle and heavy, dipping spin, with a firmer and more connected feel than the 2023 VCORE 100. Almost every playtester also hit long with it, and flat hitters or control-frame players were the ones who struggled most. Testers who swing fast with a semi-western grip liked it a lot; testers with flatter mechanics picked the VCORE 98 or EZONE 100 instead.

Best for

  • Heavy topspin baseliners
  • Semi-western or western grips
  • Players who want free depth
  • Big serving and returning

Pros

  • Very high power; depth comes with little effort
  • Large spin window, with one tester measuring roughly 30% more forehand RPM than his own racquet
  • Firmer, crisper and more connected feel than the 7th gen, which several reviewers called mushy
  • Comfortable for its stiffness; reviewers credit Servo Filter and the dampening in the handle
  • Strong on serve and return, and stable enough at net despite the medium swingweight
  • Excellent on defence, digging out balls and getting them deep

Cons

  • The high launch angle makes depth control hard; overhitting long is the most common complaint
  • Flat hitters and players coming from control frames struggle to keep the ball in
  • Hard to modulate spin, so resetting a point with a heavy neutral ball is awkward
  • Short-ball put-aways and touch shots lack precision
  • Feel can read hollow next to denser power frames, and stiff strings make it harsh

Voices

This VCORE 100 8th Gen is a spin monster

— Jason, Tennis Warehouse playtester, Web

I noticed that I was overhitting a lot. It was very easy to hit long. And so then I was trying to adjust and add spin

— Tennis Warehouse playtest video, YouTube

The 2023 was actually surprisingly mushy and sort of soft feeling, and this 2026 feels much more solid, much more connected

— Andy, Tennis Euphoria, YouTube

The biggest standout feature with this new VCORE is definitely massive power. Depth comes super easily. Ball speeds feel higher. Spin rates feel heavier.

— TennCom, YouTube

The eighth generation of the VCORE was very responsive, crisp, and had very good vibration dampening

— RacquetGuys, YouTube

It wasn't the easiest racket to volley with, but I don't think the customer or the player for this racket is spending much time on the front court
