What players say
This is the 2023 (7th generation) VCORE 95, 95 sq in / 16x20 / 11.5oz, the generation sold at clearance now that the 2026 8th gen has replaced it. Reviewers and forum players consistently call it a control-first, spin-friendly 95 with a plusher, less muted feel than the 2021 (6th gen) version, aimed at advanced players who swing fast rather than beginners or all-round rec players.
Best for
- Advanced, fast-swinging baseliners
- One-handed and precision two-handed backhands
- Doubles/net players who want touch and control
- Players moving down from a heavier 95-98 frame
Pros
- Plush, comfortable feel with deep ball pocketing, arm-friendly per Tennis Warehouse (90/100 comfort)
- Strong directional control from the 16x20 pattern, good for shot-shaping and slice
- Noticeably more spin and less 'muted' response than the prior (2021) VCORE 95 generation
- Head-light balance makes it fast and maneuverable through the swing
Cons
- Modest stock power - relies on the swinger's own racquet head speed
- Smaller 95 sq in head is less forgiving than modern larger frames
- Lower swingweight can feel unstable against hard-hit balls/serves without adding lead tape
- Tennis.com called it 'a tough sell in 2023' for players outside its narrow ideal-player profile

I also find the Vcore 95 2021 very muted which I don't like
