Gosen G-SPIN3 17/1.23 Black String
Line: G-SPIN3
$9.99
With G-Spin 3 , Gosen delivers shaped co-poly to intermediate and advanced players. With its low-power level, this string will enable you to attack the ball with your most powerful strokes. It also comes with six sharp edges for extra bite and easier access to spin. All in all, this co-poly has a rare blend of durability and comfort, making it a great option for the player who wants a more arm-friendly control string. With its attractive price, this one takes a bite out of the ball and not your wallet.

What players say
Gosen G-Spin 3 17 draws steady praise from Tennis Warehouse customer reviewers across its black and crimson red colorways, mostly for comfort and control at a low price. Players often compare it to Volkl Cyclone and Solinco Hyper-G Soft, though a few call the power low and the advertised spin overstated. No video or forum reviews turned up, so this is based on retailer customer reviews rather than independent testers.
Best for
- Players wanting a comfortable, arm-friendly poly
- Players switching from Volkl Cyclone or Hyper-G
- Control and spin players who supply their own pace
- Budget-conscious full-bed poly setups
Pros
- Repeatedly described as comfortable and easy on the arm for a polyester
- Good control and spin reported by most reviewers
- Several users report solid durability even in the thinner 17 gauge
- Favorable comparisons to Volkl Cyclone and Solinco Hyper-G Soft
- Low price relative to the feedback it gets
Cons
- Power is low, especially noted at tensions in the upper 50s
- At least one reviewer felt the spin fell short of the marketing claim
- One reviewer reported string breakage during installation
- Feedback comes mostly from retailer customer reviews, not independent testers
