What players say
Reviewers and Tennis Warehouse playtesters describe this Gosen synthetic gut as a comfortable, predictable all-around string that punches well above its low price. It is a common hybrid cross with poly mains, but advanced poly players note it falls short on spin and durability, and tension loss or a dead feel shows up after extended play.
Best for
- Value-focused players
- Hybrid cross with poly mains
- Arm-friendly comfort seekers
- Moderate-spin recreational players
Pros
- Strong comfort and arm-friendly feel for a synthetic gut
- Predictable, connected response described as better than many multifilaments
- Good value relative to price, especially as a reel
- Works well as a cross string in poly hybrids
Cons
- Spin and ball grab fade after several hours of hard play
- Durability is inconsistent, worse for heavy spin or clay-court players
- Some report tension loss or a dead, mushy feel at full bed
- Not enough spin or durability for advanced poly players

The OG Sheep Micro grabs the ball very well, especially for the first five hours of hard play.
