What players say

Mixed 2 sources

Reviewers agree RPM Soft is the most comfortable and powerful string in Babolat's RPM line, close to a multifilament in feel. The tradeoff is fast notching that cuts into spin and control, so playtesters see it as a comfort string rather than a true poly alternative for advanced players.

Best for

Arm-sensitive players switching off multifilament
Players who want RPM-family feel without full poly stiffness
Juniors not yet swinging fast enough for pure poly spin strings

Pros

Very comfortable, soft and pocketing response praised by Tennis Warehouse testers
More power than RPM Blast, with good depth on groundstrokes
Easier to string than a typical stiff polyester

Cons

Notches quickly, with testers reporting spin and control drop-off within 15-30 minutes
Spin and control below RPM Blast and other poly spin strings
Not durable enough for players with aggressive topspin swings

Voices

a very comfortable string

— Chris, Tennis Warehouse playtest team, Web

This string notches way too quickly, to the point where spin and control start to decline, typically within 15 to 30 minutes of hitting time.

— Andrew, Tennis Warehouse playtest team, Web

pocketed the ball well and launched it back with plenty of depth
