Weiss CANNON Ultra Cable 17/1.23 String Yellow
Line: Weiss CANNON Ultra Cable
$12.90
This square-shaped co-poly comes with ultra sharp edges, giving it tremendous bite. As one of the most spin friendly strings available, this string gives experienced players the ability to hit heavy spin-loaded balls that drop hard and explode off the court. It also comes with above-average comfort for poly-based monofilament.

What players say
Ultra Cable is a shaped co-poly built around a sharp, square profile, and most reviewers agree it delivers strong spin and control for players with fast, long swings. Tennis Warehouse's playtesters scored it very low on power and high on spin and control, and that split carries into customer reviews: some players call it comfortable and durable, while others find it stiff, harsh on the arm, and inconsistent once tension drops.
Best for
- Big hitters wanting spin and control
- Advanced players with long, fast swings
- Players who don't need extra power from the string
Pros
- Strong spin from the sharp, square-edged profile
- High control, especially for flatter, harder-hitting players
- Low, controlled power suits players who already generate their own pace
- Several players report it holds tension and shape for weeks
Cons
- Stiff, firm feel that some players found harsh on the arm
- Power and spin bite drop off quickly for some players once it loses tension
- A few reviewers found it inconsistent on control compared to other polys
- Too low-powered for beginners or players with compact strokes
